and let us not grow weary of doing good,
for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
2 Thessalonians 3:13
But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.
In the morning I drive 30 minutes to the subway stop and park in the parking garage.
When I first started doing this I parked in the closest available spot.
One day the closest spot was a little further away and I ended up parking on the fourth floor.
When I got back to my car that evening I noticed the spectacular view.
It was so beautiful that I stopped to take a picture with my phone.
The next day I wondered what it would look like further up...
what if I went all the way up to the top floor where there isn't even a roof?
Well.....It's a pretty sweet view.
Every evening as I get close to the very last stop on the line....
The Wonderland stop, which is where I get off,
I know that I will skip the elevator to climb up the seven flights of stairs
and be greeted with such beauty!
In the morning I see the sun making the waters sparkle
and in the evening I see it setting with my rather tiny almost-island home on the horizon.
I find it a little sad that there is always parking available up there
because no one climbs to the top.
Which makes me think about Matthew 7:14
For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life,
and those who find it are few.
