17 November

 The moon on the one hand, the dawn on the other;
The moon is my sister, the dawn is my brother.
The moon on my left and the dawn on my right-
My brother, good morning; my sister, good night.

  11. I love this "moon" poem. Who is it written by? I have a thing for moon pictures. The moon is so mysterious and beautiful to me.

    1. I have known this poem since i was a teenager...which was a very long time ago indeed. I googled it and they tell me it is by Hilaire Belloc and it is called The Early Morning.

  12. Lovely poem. I want to walk down that path..... gorgeous photos. :) Karen

  13. Thanks for the comment on my What I Love About Fall post! Love the sunglasses!

  14. Great pictures. The moon on 'canvas' is really cool. I love the woodsy shots. I never tire of taking them or looking at them.

Deep peace of the running wave to you.
Deep peace of the flowing air to you.
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you.
Deep peace of the shining stars to you.
Deep peace of the gentle night to you.
Moon and stars pour their healing light on you
