5 January

behind the trees

the first winter sun caressed the sky

with scarlet

the pair of them sat watching for a bit

it struck her then

that one might not expect these times to be as plentiful

as the spare change he saved in the jar on his bureau

so she leaned against him

in the growing light

What fleeting things...spare time and spare change. Jars empty fast!

  7. Sounds a lot like my poem. Interesting that our minds took the same path. It was a story in the air for creative minds to latch onto. Well at least your pair didn't part. Well wordled.

  11. A wonderful message. Moments are precious. We must live in them and fully experience them as they are limited.

  18. How True. Often we look back on treasured times and they are not necessarily gala times of great pomp but of precious moments where love and affection come freely unannounced.

Deep peace of the running wave to you.
Deep peace of the flowing air to you.
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you.
Deep peace of the shining stars to you.
Deep peace of the gentle night to you.
Moon and stars pour their healing light on you
