In family life, be completely present.

  1. Wise man, Lao Tzu.
The think that keeps me grounded - keeps me going - when I have to work away from home, is the steady stream of family news. Photos, texts, stories. We use technology to be present to one another in all the ordinary parts of the day. This is the first time I will miss St Nicholas morning, but I left little bags of goodies, special only to the recipients - everyone at home was responsible for one of my little bags, to fill the shoes of someone else. The texts and photos to come later today will be a treat.

  6. Oh, I miss those days when the children were young and we would pick the perfect tree. But I still have fun, just the Mr. and me. Hope you are having fun. xo Karen

  8. Absolutely perfect...beautiful photo, the essence of rush hour, the spirit of the season, all rolled into one simple picture. Not only is the photo great but the harmonic thought process behind it is astounding to me.

  11. Oh goodness, great idea. We went to a tree farm and it was definitely rush hour there. Wish I had thought of using that too!

Deep peace of the running wave to you.
Deep peace of the flowing air to you.
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you.
Deep peace of the shining stars to you.
Deep peace of the gentle night to you.
Moon and stars pour their healing light on you
