3 September

a nod to September

may the autumn breeze blow soft in your small town

or flicker sweet where ever you may roam

burnished yellow light that settles softly down

sing to you a song that sounds like home

  2. 1 September marks the first day of Spring here in South Africa. I woke my garden up on Sunday by singing The Beatles "Here Comes The Sun". I do it every year. In Autumn, I tell the garden to rest well. Don't know why I am telling you this.

    1. Tam that sound like a wonderful idea. I can picture you in the fresh smelling dirt singing. Maybe I will sing Golden Slumbers by the Beatles as I visit the gardens.

Deep peace of the running wave to you.
Deep peace of the flowing air to you.
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you.
Deep peace of the shining stars to you.
Deep peace of the gentle night to you.
Moon and stars pour their healing light on you
